It is my great privilege and also great honor for me to welcome you all in this nice morning
on behalf of the Sylhet Cancer Study Group (SCSG) which is going to host the “1st Sylhet
Cancer Congress 2023 (SCC)” on May 5, 2023 at the `Tea Capital City’ Sylhet.
Sylhet Cancer Study Group (SCSG) believe that one important way to fight cancer
is to strengthen regional & international co-operations and collaborations. This
organization is moving forward with the aim and objectives of improving
oncological care, oncological services & oncological set up in the country to ensure
quality cancer treatment & care for the ailing cancer patients of the country.
Cancer is a dreadful diseases. It’s a challenge which warrant intensive research
and exchange of current knowledge among nations to deal with it effectively. The
aim of this conference in every year in order to get the rapid transfer of knowledge
and technologies among participants.
At present we need many more skilled manpower in different fields of oncology.
Every year this meeting helps to add some new young member to join in the fight
against cancer. As we raised our level from an under developed to a developing
country it is the demand of time that we should raise our level in all technical
sectors. We hope this kinds of congress will help us to fulfil our demand
`Sylhet Cancer Congress 2023’ is an unique event where we promote Academic
researchers to share their works and encourage collaboration among the National
Organizations and Researchers. We believe that cancer treatment & research are
in a new era of rapid and significant development in Bangladesh. Therefore, it is
crucial for young oncologists of our country to communicate openly with the local
faculty speakers, investigators & researchers through their presentations and
vigorous discussion. This will benefit the common motto of accelerating research
& providing optimum and modern treatment to find a better tomorrow..
We have invited researchers and speakers who would share their updated
knowledge and experiences on cancer management which are followed globally. I
am optimistic that this Cancer Congress will encourage and motivate all our
oncologists, especially the young ones to play a more effective role in various
facets of cancer problem solutions, such as treatment, prevention, screening,
follow-up, and rehabilitation.
I would like to grab the moment to offer my wholehearted gratitude to the
honorable Patron, chief Guest, Special guests, all the attendee and accompanying
